Beautiful souvenir bronze medallion featuring historic Ft. Point. Medallion measures approximately 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Comes in a plastic case.
Ft. Point is the only brick fort west of the Mississippi. Built between 1853 and 1861 to guard San Francisco from sea attack. It served as a construction base during the building of the Golden Gate Bridge. On the reverse of the medallion is the skyline of San Francisco as seen from the bay.
